Plot

At the Verona Arena all is set for the “Zeppoles + Ariel and the Body Snatchers'” final concert, but the warm-up band, that of “The Wild”, makes such an impression on the delirious crowd, by preventing a terrorist attack in the nick of time. Thanks to the prompt intervention of the five members of the group, four lads boasting not an exactly clean record and to the enigmatic singer Jolly Carmine, everything returns to normal. That night though, after his apparently inexplicable refusal to spend the night with the gorgeous Carmen, our hero will have to deal with something more powerful than a bomb and more explosive than a concert: his sorrow from a former betrayal. Will Doctor Annie Hill’s counselling be able to heal his love wounds, or will the mystery of a failed attack and Carmen and Jolly Carmine’s presence in unconventional places force the main character to wander the obscure Round of The Cuckold? His adventures will get entangled, to the point of blurring together, with what might possibly represent Adam and Eve’s true story and one of betrayal which could potentially be considered the result of misconduct right from the start. Today’s Adam will do his best to make heads or tails of the situation, but he’ll learn that the wicked lutists only are the proverbial tipping point… and Jolly Carmine’s skein is likely to turn out more difficult than expected to unravel.

The weight of air

and its consequences

The weight of air and its consequences in novel version.

Plot

A freaky and uncanny narrator, insane in appearance, yells a hopeless warning to readers: they must go away while they still can! The story he’s about to report is exceptionally gruesome and, most of all, dangerous…
Long before, in a wonderful Lombard Manor, the corpses of three people were found viciously mangled by the blade of a knife. The condition of the dead bodies, belonging to the architect of the Manor, Violet, his girlfriend Mary Ella and the buyer’s son Manuel, had been allocated to Violet himself presumably in a jealous rage, having caught the two cheating lovers in the act and then killing himself after the vicious deed.

Nonetheless, the bloody curtain seems to re-open three centuries later on another soon-to-be-married couple living in that same house: a dear friend of our narrator’s, Casqual, and his fiancee Q. Ella Meri. These two, after inviting the narrator and his bride-to-be to the mansion, along with an old Professor and his wife and two more friends, delight in building a scenario of what really might have happened a long time before and wondering how the murky persona of a lutist, inventor of “the countervailed lyre”, a peculiar instrument able to measure the weight of air, might have shaken up the situation.

In a whirlwind of betrayals, dangerous erotic games, secret doors and lies, an even wider bloody shadow expands over the characters of this story, until the beginning melts with the end and the horrific initial warning no longer appears so absurd and senseless. Will you manage not to die…of fright? The weight of air is waiting for you, carrying all its consequences.

Venturing in “The Vulva”

The curious tale of the Marsican wolf

(and the needle in the haystack)

Plot

Three imprudent explorers, venturing in a cave, become active players in a devious case of homicide. The case, conducted by Chief De Narwhal and his spouse Melody De L’Eel, is accurately reported in the journal of a young narrator, who emphasizes its contradictions: the cave, a most famous opening named “The Vulva (due to its striking resemblance to the womanly pudental), is the scene of a heinous betrayal, which might possibly explain the reason behind the decease under investigation.

In the course of the trial, in which many highly-qualified experts are implicated, first and foremost the philosopher Alan Brown (aka Galactic of the Galactics), a few legends regarding adultery and female betrayal are decisive, which will be crucial in guiding our narrator and his partner through the early phase of exploration in “The Vulva” and catapult him into a universe particularly out of reach, though “incredibly and blatantly rich”.
